Best build
Mortis’ best build is the Survival Shovel Gadget and the Coiled Snake Star Power. The Survival Shovel Gadget allows you to reload faster for 4 seconds, giving the opportunity to inflict more damage when you rush into an opponent. The Coiled Snake Star Power is the best one, because you’ll need less time to have your longer dash. You will now have more movement possibilities, and you will be able to make a deadly ambush quicker. Finally, the best gears are the Shield Gear and the Bat Storm Gear as it’s overpowered with his hypercharge.

Other build
The Combo Spinner Gadget is weaker because it can be used if you need to finish off an enemy without having to wait for your next attack, but the other Gadget makes you reload faster and it will solve that problem. The Creepy Harvest Star Power can be strong in a more close combat game style, because you’ll restore health for each enemy you defeat, making you very hard to kill if you manage to make one or several kills. Finally, you can use the Damage Gear if you need more damage for some interaction.

Mortis dashes forward with a sharp swing of his shovel, dealing 2000 damage per attack. He can touch several opponents at the same time, so you will inflict more damage if your opponents are packed. Mortis also has an other bar, that reloads in 4.5 seconds. Once this bar is fully charged, his next attack will be a longer dash. This longer dash is very strong in order to start a fight, because you can attack from farther than with the classic attack.
Super
Mortis throws vampire bats that inflicts 1800 damage. For each enemy touched, he will heal for 125% of the attack (2250 per enemy).
Blood Boomerang
When activated, Mortis’s Super now returns to him, dealing a second wave of damage and healing. He also gains a 24% speed boost, a 25% damage boost, as well as a 5% shield boost.
Combo Spinner
Mortis spins his shovel and hit all enemies around him, dealing 2000 damage. This Gadget can allow you to finish an enemy when you don’t have enough amo.
Survival Shovel
Mortis reloads faster for 4 seconds. Use this Gadget when you are attacking an opponent that will be hard to kill. With this Gadget, Mortis won’t be so long to reload, enabling him to inflict more damage.
Creepy Harvest
Mortis restores 20% of his max health for each brawler he defeats. This Star Power can give you more survivability when you are attacking several opponents.
Coiled Snake
Mortis gains his longer dash 2 seconds faster. This Star Power is very useful for Mortis because you will be able to move and to rush enemies with more ease.
