How to Unlock new brawlers ?

Brawl Stars is a game where you fight with a character called Brawler against other Brawlers. In Brawl Stars there are 75 Brawlers and they all have different specifications. When you play Brawl Stars, you will earn trophies and credits and you will unlock new Brawlers.
This guide is here to help you make the best choice in term of Brawler selection in the Starr Road so that you can enjoy playing Brawl Stars !

First of all, you will start the game with the Brawler called Shelly. Then, you will follow the Starr Road to unlock new Brawlers

Each Brawler will have a different price depending on its rarity and here are all the Brawlers costs by rarity. 

Brawler cost in Credits

Finally, your first Epic will be 25% cheaper and your first Mythic and Legendary Brawler will be 50% cheaper.

How The Starr Road works ?

The Starr Road have some specific mechanics that you need to understand. The first Brawlers you will unlock on the Starr Road will be the same for everyone but the more you advance on the Road, the more diverse the Road will be for every players.

For the 5 first Brawlers you will unlock, you won’t have to make a choice. It will be Nita, El Primo, Jessie, Poco and Jacky. Then you will have to make a choice between several Brawlers.  The first choice you have to make is for a Rare Brawler, between Brock and Barley, and the one you didn’t choose will go on the next Rare Tier.

Every time you have to choose a Brawler, the one you didn’t pick will be suggested in the next same rarity Tier. You can keep this in mind in order to know the next Brawlers that will appear in your Starr Road.

If you unlock a Brawler in a Starr Drop, it won’t be available in the Starr Road anymore and all of the same rarity Brawlers will be shifted to the previous Tier in the Starr Road.

Here are the first Brawlers you can unlock on the Starr Road and our advice to make the best choice when you are choosing a Brawler.

We will only show you the beginning of the Starr Road because we can’t predict which Brawler will be suggested to you when you get further.

For each Brawler, we give you the difficulty, a small  summary and you can click on the Brawler to check its full guide if you want to know more about it !

Shelly

Difficulty : Easy

Shelly is a close combat Brawler. Her attack can deal huge damage if she is close to the enemy. She can also finish off far enemies but her attack deals more damage at close range. Her Super is very strong and it can destroy walls.

Nita

Difficulty : Easy

Nita is a mid-range Brawler that can be very dangerous. Her attack is easy to aim and she can summon a bear with her Super. The bear goes straight to the closest enemy and can attack him. The bear is very strong to put pressure on the enemies and it is very satisfying to play alongside your bear

Difficulty : Easy

El Primo is a close combat Brawler that attacks with his punches. He can be very dangerous at close range and you can charge your Super passively by taking damage. That’s why El Primo is easy to play. With his Super, he can jumps very far and land on the enemies to attack them. His Super is pretty fun to use !

Difficulty : Medium

Jessie’s attack has a long range and can bounce on several enemies. It can be useful if the enemies are packed. Her Super is a turret that can shoot the enemies.

Poco Skin

Difficulty : Easy

Poco is a support Brawler that can attack the enemies and heal his teammates. His attack and Super are really easy to use and have both a wide area of effect so it’s easy to aim. With Poco’s Attack you deal damage to your enemies and with his Super you can heal yourself and your teammates.

Jacky

Jacky Skin

Difficulty : Easy

Jacky is a close combat Brawler that doesn’t need to aim her attack. She rushes into the enemies and can touch them behind walls, that’s why she is so easy to play. Her Super brings the enemies closer to you so that you can kill them. You will have fun playing Jacky in BrawlBall !

Brock

Brock Skin

Difficulty : Medium

Brock is a marksman that can be quite easy to play because his rockets have a large area of effect. He has a long range and he can destroy walls with his Gadget or Super and that is very useful

Barley

Difficulty : Medium

Barley is your first thrower in the game. His attacks makes a splash that can deal damage when it touch the enemy and when the enemy walks on it. Barley is very useful in maps with walls but he is very vulnerable to assassins.

Our advice : We recommend you to choose Brock because you can get Barley for free (with a skin) if you link your account with Supercell ID !

Difficulty : Easy

Bo attacks with his bow and can hit the enemies at a good range. He is a good controller Brawler because he can hide very dangerous mines on the ground with his Super. He is easy to play and can be very useful in some maps or gamemodes

Difficulty : Medium

Emz is also a good controller Brawler that can deal massive damage ! Her attack deals more damage at long range and she deals low damage at close range. Moreover, she is vulnerable to assassins, that’s why she might be hard to play at first. But if you play her well and your enemies come into your zone, they have no chance to escape !

Our advice : Our choice goes for Bo ! He is really versatile, easy to play and it’s always fun to trap your enemies with your mines. Emz is also a good choice, but you’ll get easily countered by a lot of Brawlers and it can be frustrating.

Colt

Colt Skin

Difficulty : Hard

Colt’s attack is made of several bullets. The more bullet you put on your enemy, the more damage you make. Thats why colt is not so easy to play, because you’ll have to walk in the right direction while shooting, in order to hit more bullets. Finally, Colt has a very long range and can destroy walls with his Gadget and Super.

Super Rare Credit Banner

Difficulty : Hard

Dynamike is a thrower. He throws dynamites thats explodes after a short time. It is pretty hard to learn how to play Dynamike because of that, but once your learn it you will destroy entire teams ! Because Dynamike is a thrower, he can easily get killed by assassins so you will have to play smart !

8-Bit

8-Bit Skin

Difficulty : Expert

8-Bit is a damage dealer that can put with his Super a turret that boost your damage. His turret makes him very useful in various gamemodes. He has a very long range but he is very slow. Because of his slow movement speed, he can be hard to play.

Our advice : Here are two interesting Brawlers. Dynamike seems to be the best choice if you are playing alone. He can easily carry a game and you will have so much fun wiping the entire team ! But be careful, he is not so easy to play at the beginning. 8-Bit is a very slow Brawler, and despite his huge damage, it will be difficult for you to stay alive if your teammates are not playing well.

Bea is a maksman that can supercharge her next shot when it touch an enemy. So she has a basic attack that doesn’t deal much damage, and a supercharged attack that deals huge damage when her previous attack has touched an enemy.
Her attack is special because she only have one ammo. Because of that, you can spam your attack but make sure to aim your supercharged attack well in order to make more damage !

Bull Skin

Difficulty : Easy

Bull is a Tank that deals huge damage but only at very close range. He can charge his Super by taking damage and his Super can allow him to rush in the enemies. Bull can be an unstoppable Brawler if you manage to get close to your enemies.

Tick

Difficulty : Hard

Tick is a thrower that is hard to play. He throws mines that takes some time to land and you will have to anticipate your enemies movement in order to be efficient. If you play it well, you won’t let your enemies get close to you but be careful, Tick doesn’t have a lot of HP. With his Super, he throws a bombs that rush into the enemies and explode on them.

Carl

Carl Skin

Difficulty : Medium

Carl is a versatile Brawler that attacks with his Pickaxe. Once you have thrown your pickaxe, you’ll have to wait for it to come back to you in order to throw your next attack. With his Super he spins and deals damage at close range. Carl is fun to play and can be useful to kill throwers.

Our advice : Here, if you want to choose between Tick and Carl, we recommend you to pick Carl because he is simpler to handle and more enjoyable. Tick is hard to play because he can get killed easily if your teammates are not playing well. On the contrary, Carl is really versatile and his gameplay if fun !

Franck Skin

Difficulty : Easy

Frank is a slow Brawler that has a lot of HP. His attack and Super take some time to touch the enemies but he can deal a lot of damage. With his Super, he can stuns the enemies and he can easily cycle his Super.

Stu

Stu Skin

Difficulty : Expert

Stu is an assassin Brawler that can move very easily on the map. With each attack that hits the enemy, he get his Super charged, so he can use one Super between each attack. That’s what make him difficult to play, because you’ll have to attack and use your Super very fast in order to dodge your enemies attacks’. Once you’ve learned how to master it, Stu is so satisfying to play !

Our advice : Here, if you want to choose between Frank and Stu, we recommend you to pick Frank if you are a new player and Stu if you are an experimented player. Frank is not so strong but if you are playing BrawlBall in low trophies, you will have so much fun wiping the opposing team with your Super. Stu is an interesting Brawler but he is difficult to master.

Mortis

Mortis Skin

Difficulty : Hard

Mortis is also an assassin an he is the most played Brawler in Brawl Stars. He can move very efficiently because his attack is a dash forward. He can do multiple kills if the enemies are packed but he can only attack at close range and he can easily be countered by a lot of Brawlers.

Difficulty : Easy

Tara is a sneaky Brawler that attacks with 3 cards. Her cards spread in a cone shape and she deals more damage if her 3 cards touches the enemy (at closer range). With her Super, she can pull in all the enemies that are in the area of effect into a deadly gravity well. You will have fun taking down an entire team with Tara’s Super !

Gene

Gene Skin

Difficulty : Hard

Gene is a good Support Brawler. He doesn’t deal much damage but he has a long range and can easily annoy the enemies. His Super is super fun because he can grab an enemy and pull him back to his location. He can be hard to play because he relies a lot on his teammates.

Our advice : This Tier is really interesting. Mortis is a very fun Brawler to play and he is the most played Brawler in Brawl Stars. Tara is a versatile and sneaky Brawler and Gene is a good support. Here we recommend you to pick Tara , but if you’re interested in trying out Mortis’ fun gameplay, go ahead ! Finally, Gene is a good support but you will need a good team if you want to play it properly.

Difficulty : Easy

Leon is an assassin that deals more damage at close range. He can get invisible with his Super and get close to the enemy by surprise ! It is so satisfying to surprise your enemies when your are invisible.

Difficulty : Hard

Crow is also an assassin that doesn’t deal much damage but his attacks poison the enemy. He has a good range and throws 3 poisonned daggers. With his Super he can jump on the enemy in order to finish it but be careful,Crow doesn’t have a lot of HP.

Difficulty : Easy

Spike can deal huge damage at close and mid range and can deal small damage at longer range or behing walls. His attack is interesting because it is versatile : deal huge damage at closer range, and finish off enemies that are hiding. His Super is a sticky area that deals damage and slows the enemies down.

Our advice : For your First Legendary Brawler, you can’t make a mistake because all these Brawlers are good. Leon is the funnier to play because you can get invisible and kill your enemies by surprise. Spike makes huge damage and is really easy to play. Crow is the harder one because you’ll have to play smart but he is also very fun to play. No matter what you choose, you’ll have fun with your first Legendary Brawler.

After that, there are still a lot of Brawlers to unlock and you will find all the Brawlers you don’t have on the Starr Road. But don’t forget that you can have new Brawlers in a Starr Drop !

Once you have all the Brawlers, your credits will be converted into fame !

What is the Fame ?

Fame is just a cosmetic thing that show off how far you’ve come. You can find it on your profile and at the beginning of a battle everyone can see how much fame you have !

If you have unlocked all Brawlers, try to stack your credits in order to unlock the new brawlers fasterYou can stack credits in the masteries, in the Brawl Pass and in the Trophy Road.

There are different stages of fame and you will level up your fame with credits. 

Fame Evolution

Each Fame Stage have 3 levels. The first stage is the Global Fame. You unlock it when you have unlocked all the Brawlers and you need 2000 credits per level. Then, after 6000 credits spent (3 x 2000 credits) you unlock the Lunar Fame. In the Lunar Fame, you need 3200 credits per level. The Martian Fame is the next one, with a price of 4500 credits per level. Then there is the Saturnian Fame with 8000 credits per level and the Solar Fame with 12 000 credits per level. Finally, the last stage is the Meteoric Fame, with a price per level of 20 000 credits.

Fun fact : If you want to buy all the 75 Brawler with credit and without dropping it in a Starr Drop, you will need 104,664 Crédits ! But don’t worry, you will drop some Brawlers in the Starr Drops !
